Log In to HelpDesk service inside Turku University of Applied Sciences network

Log In to HelpDesk service outside Turku University of Applied Sciences network (Write your Windows username to the username field of the opening window as ADTUAMK\username and your Windows password to the password field).

Users can receive support for

  • IT equipment and software within the facilities of Turku University of Applied Sciences. 
  • The support also covers the University of Applied Sciences IT systems and applications, for instance usernames, email, home directories, printing services, centralised virus protection, Winha, the wireless local area network Sparknet etc
  • Users can also send feedback, questions and installation requests

Requests for help can be submitted 24 hours a day. The requests are mainly dealt with from Monday to Friday at 8.30AM – 3.30PM.

New passwords should be applied for and obtained at the Student Counselling Office of your unit. This is not possible to do via the HelpDesk.

The HelpDesk system

The information demanded in the request for support are:

  • the user’s personal information (will be obtained automatically)
  • title
  • classification of the request (request for help, request for installation, question or feedback)
  • an urgency classification
  • a description of the problem
  • state the unit (which can further be specified by giving the number of the room or the number of the computer)
  • send attachments

Users can also benefit from:

  • an FAQ database which is maintained by experts and contains solutions to the most frequent problems
  • Notifications concerning information systems and services are posted on the notice board of the system

Email

Requests for support can be sent to:helpdesk. The email should always state:

  • the name of the sender
  • title
  • contact information (email address and/or telephone number)
  • urgency/priority
  • the object of the request
  • University of Applied Sciences unit (at need the location specified in more detail)
  • a clear description of the problem
  • send attachments
