Guide for online services
The web site of Turku University of Applied Sciences is part of the online services of the city of Turku, the maintainer of TUAS.
Browsing and navigation on the pages
On the English pages of TUAS you can find information divided into sections which can be accessed from the left side navigation menu.
On the top of the page there is a horizontal cookie trail which shows you where you are on the web pages. You can get to the home page of TUAS by clicking on the link Turku University of Applied Sciences or the logo at top left.
You can get to the home page of the City of Turku web service by clicking on the link turku.fi or by clicking the city logo at bottom left.
The main rule is that all the text pages in the web service open up in the same browser window. Attachments and pages maintained by external parties open up in a new browser window.
News and current events
The different sections of the web pages contain illustrated headlines and/or Current, read more - news listing with the latest news first.
By clicking on the link Current, read more you can see all the news. Earlier news stories are listed according to year and month. By clicking on the name of the month you can see all the news published during the month in question.
You can subscribe to an RSS-feed from the home page of TUAS and TUAS Library home page. You will receive the latest news and information headlines automatically into your browser’s bookmarks list or a separate RSS-feed reader program, for instance Feedreader.
Right hand column of the web pages
On the right hand side of the page, the so-called right column, you can find fast links to the most commonly used services or current affairs. The link can be either a text or an image link.
Search
The search engine for information on the TUAS web pages is located in the top right corner of the page. You can target your search to either to certain contents or to the entire web service of the City of Turku: choose “detailed search”.
You can browse the contact information for city employees and elected officials with the help of the search engine, or with the search form which opens up from the link Contact information search.
Language and language versions
The web pages of Turku University of Applied Sciences are published in three languages. The Finnish version of the pages is the most extensive one. The Swedish version of the pages presenting our organisation is a comprised one. The English version of the pages contains information for foreign applicants, exchange students and our international co-operation partners.
You can choose the language of you choice on the top left of the page for browsing all the pages in the web service. Language choice for a single page can be done from the link at the bottom of the page provided that the information on the page exists in another language version.
Site map
At the bottom of the page, in the blue column there is a link to the site map. You can open more of the site map by clicking on +.
Media
In the section Media you can find the latest news, announcements and press invitations of the City of Turku. The media link can be found at the bottom of the page. The notices and announcements of TUAS can be found in their own section in Finnish.
Feedback
At the bottom of the page there is a link to a feedback form for the web services of the City. The TUAS web pages also have electronic feedback forms pertaining to diverse matters
