Applications are submitted through the joint application system on the internet www.admissions.fi. An applicant may choose up to four (4) options. Applicants are qualified to apply if they have graduated from an upper secondary school or vocational school. Foreign applicants of the Turku University of Applied Sciences will be admitted on the basis of the entrance exam only. Entrance ExamsEntrance exam dates in Finland:
The Degree Programme in Nursing will organise entrance exams only in Finland, Salo. All applicants who have demonstrated their eligibility will be invited to the entrance exams. Entrance exams abroad: see the 2013 countrylist HERE Note that if the country you are from is not included in the countrylist, you will be invited to come to Finland to participate in the entrance exam. Applying with a Finnish certificateWhen applying with a Finnish certificate copies are not needed except when applicant has a Finnish competence based vocational qualification or competence based further vocational qualification. He/she must provide a copy of the original certificate to the admissions office of his or her first-choice polytechnic/UAS by the end of the application period. The applicants’ language skills will be evaluated in the language test included in the entrance exam on a pass/fail basis. An applicant who has failed the language test is withdrawn from admission. When applying for the Degree Programme in Nursing an applicant can be exempted from the language test, if he or she has provided a certificate of his or her language skills to the first-choice polytechnic/UAS by 22 Feb 2013 at 4.15 pm. Both TOEFL and IELTS test results are valid for two years. The National Certificate of Language Proficiency does not have a set date of validity. TOEFL score results are only accepted directly from the Educational Testing Service. In addition, upper secondary school level education in English completed in Great Britain, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed in English in one of these countries, is also accepted as a demonstration of sufficient English language skills. Please send copies of the required certificates by postal services by 22 Feb 2013 at 4.15 pm (note that scanned or faxed copies will not be accepted). Mark all your certificate copies with the ID code assigned to you in the online application.
