Access Rights for Electronic Resources of the TUAS Library

The staff and the students of the Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS) have the right to use (to search, view, retrieve, display, print and download according to respective database agreement licenses) the electronic resources of the TUAS Library on computer terminals situated onsite the TUAS network. All library customers have the right to use the electronic resources on library computer terminals.

Licenses for databases of electronic full text articles, reference and full text databases and electronic books have been acquired as subscriptions by the TUAS Library or by national consortia organised by The National Electronic Library (FinElib).

The licenses allow to

• search, browse and retrieve
• print limited copies of citations provided the information is used solely for personal, non-commercial use
• download within reasonable amounts search results provided the information is used solely for personal, non-commercial use
• print and download limited excerpts of electronic books provided the information is used solely for personal, non-commercial use
• email, mail or fax a copy of a citation, abstract or full text to another person provided the information is used solely for personal, non-commercial use
• use electronic resources as course material at the TUAS (non-commercial use only) - N.B. license agreements may vary according to resources

The licenses forbid to

• use any electronic resources or parts of it for any commercial purpose
• download resources using a robot
• print or download whole electronic publications (resources or books)
