Open University of Applied Sciences (Open Studies)

Studies in the Open University of Applied Sciences are open to everyone, regardless of age or educational background.

Open University of Applied Sciences offers courses or modules from the degree programmes in Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS). There are two different ways to study:

Separately arranged courses

The courses are arranged separately for Open University of Applied Sciences students and studying takes place in the evenings or weekends.

Studying courses together with the degree students

The courses are studied together with TUAS degree students and studying usually takes place in the daytime.

One course at Open University of Applied Sciences usually lasts between 3-4 months, but studying is not full-time and does not lead to a degree or vocational qualification. If a person wishes to study a degree at TUAS, he/she must apply to become a degree student. More information about degree studies available at www.tuas.fi.
