Studies in the Degree Programme of Performing Arts focus on interaction between the performer and the audience. The aim is to prepare the students as connoisseurs and reformers of the chosen form of expression. Theoretical studies together with practical excellence and working life experience guide the students towards innovative artistic creations.

Education in the degree programme is channelled through three specialisations: Circus, Dance and Theatre / Puppet Theatre. In addition to performance studies, methodology and pedagogy together with communal concerns is studied. Consequently, graduates from these specialisations may function as teachers or directors with various art communities.

The Production Unit (ETYK) has a salient function in student productions. The production unit consists of professionals who work in close cooperation with students in all aspects of production work: light and stage design, costuming, sound production, producing etc. The aim is that by the end of their studies, the students are capable of managing all aspects of their productions and public performances.
