Syvennä osaamistasi laatutyössä teollisuuden alalla. Master- eli ylempään AMK-tutkintoon johtavasta englanninkielisestä Industrial Quality Management -koulutuksesta valmistuu ammattilaisia vaativiin asiantuntija- ja esimiestehtäviin. Koulutus toteutetaan kokonaan verkko-opintoina. 

The Master's degree programme in Industrial Quality Management is a strongly working-life oriented programme, which gives students the opportunity to grow into an expert in the field of quality. The aim of the studies is to develop and deepen the student's professional skills and competences in the industrial quality framework.

The online degree programme focuses on developing the necessary abilities for planning and developing quality system processes, and continuous improvement and creative problem solving for the organizations’ needs in industry. The studies strongly support the student to develop into demanding expert and supervisor jobs. 

The Master's Degree Programme in Industrial Quality Mangement is part of Turku University of Applied Sciences (Turku UAS) Master School and its School of Professional Excellence. Turku UAS Master School brings together all Turku UAS' Masters' degree programmes in the fields of Business, Culture, Healthcare and Social Services, and Technology. It gives the students a great chance to create new networks with other experts beyond fields, both in Finland and globally.

Entry requirement to the Master's degree programme is a minimum of two years’ relevant work experience gained after a suitable higher education degree. (See the detailed eligibility criteria in Studyinfo.fi.)

Turku UAS Master School - flexible study opportunities in a multi-professional environment

At Turku UAS Master School you'll study a master's degree in a flexible way. The studies can be completed while working full-time and from anywhere in Finland or abroad. In the degree programme in Industrial Quality Management all studies are offered virtually online. Studies include scheduled online lectures and teamwork as well as independent work.

Turku UAS Master School brings together all Master's students in the fields of Business, Culture, Healthcare and Social Services, and Technology. During the studies you can create new networks with other experts beyond fields of study. As a Turku UAS Master School student you'll also have access to Turku UAS' broad international network of higher education institutions that enables internationalisation during the studies as well.

Skills in Quality Management and Lean Principles

The extent of the study programme is 60 ECTS credits. The planned length of the studies is 1.5 years. The studies are composed of compulsory core competences (20 credits), elective complementary competences (10 credits) and thesis work (30 credits).

Part of the mandatory core competence studies are common for all Master School programmes and part are specific for the Industrial Quality Management programme. The studies common to each Master School programme include studies in research methods and in future operating environments. 

The themes of industrial quality management studies include principles of quality management in an industry, different quality tools and lean principles in practical consideration. Students may further deepen or expand their competences by choosing elective courses from their own degree programme or other programmes or from other universities.

In the degree prgramme in Industrial Qualit Management all studies are offered in the form of virtual online teaching. Please note that virtual studies also include online lectures and teamwork, on average 16 hours per a 5 ECTS’ course.

The thesis is a central part of the studies. The thesis work starts already at the beginning of the studies, and it is carried out as a working life-oriented development project. The thesis will not only develop the student's knowledge and skills in a certain study field and specific topic but also gives the possibility to enhance their skills in leading teams and work groups.

After graduating you've created new knowledge and reformed the working life with your Master's thesis. Your networks have expanded both in Finland and globally. You've also developed your expertise and got the tools to advance in your career. 

As a graduate from the degree programme in Industrial Quality Management you have acquired the quality knowledge needed in expert or supervisor positions in engineering manufacturing or technology enterprises, for instance.

 

Apply in Joint Application

Joint application means that you can apply to up to six study programmes with one application form. These six options may include degree programmes from one or several different higher education institutions in Finland. The next joint application period for this degree programme is

  • joint application in spring 4 - 18 January 2023 at 15.00 (studies start in autumn 2023)

Applications are submitted through the national online application portal studyinfo.fi (in Finnish Opintopolku). The students are selected based on school performance or entrance examination. Selection methods are explained in more detail on the Admission Criteria page (tuas.fi).

Apply to Path Studies (Open UAS)

In path studies, you complete the first-year studies of a Bachelor’s degree in a group of degree students in an academic year. The extent of UAS path studies is about 30 ECTS credits. Open Studies are subject to a charge. 

A degree cannot be completed in path studies. After the path studies, based on the success in studies and the number of completed credits, you can apply as a degree student in the Open Studies path application and continue your studies seamlessly until graduation.
