Media

The four fields of media education provide students with a strong basis for cross-disciplinary skills and creative collaboration:

  • Journalism focuses on responsible and multi-channel communication. In addition to news and feature journalism, students will learn about data-driven and visual storytelling, and the use of artificial intelligence in editorial work.
  • Advertising design combines creative concept design and strategic thinking in communications. Students will learn to develop brands, campaigns and visual concepts for multichannel environments.
  • Film studies provide in-depth training in storytelling, directing, cinematography and post-production. It emphasises creative production processes, collaboration with professionals in different fields and technological developments such as virtual productions.
  • Production and project management develop media producers and project managers who can manage complex production processes and lead creative teams in a responsible and agile way.

The Film and Media Research Group acts as a key link between education, research and working life, building future media skills both regionally and internationally. Established in 2013, the research group is part of all media programmes and offers students opportunities to participate in projects where learning and research intertwine. International and national partnerships strengthen the activities and bring opportunities for students to participate in projects across borders.
