The award is given annually to organisations that make a long-term contribution to the well-being of their staff and to the development of their culture and cooperation. Success in the staff survey also contributes to the award.
“We have seen a steady year-on-year improvement in our results throughout our measurement history, which started in 2017. Among other things, our performance index has improved well, thanks to the fact that we have developed our working spaces to be more appropriate and improved our management culture,” says Ulla-Maija Lakka, Director of Finance and Administration at Turku University of Applied Sciences.
We are committed to staff wellbeing and have worked hard to achieve this.
The Turku University of Applied Sciences staff survey was conducted in February, and 86% of Turku University of Applied Sciences staff responded. Staff gives feedback once a year. Eezy Flow’s extensive staff survey is attended by around 200 000 professionals from different fields each year and is considered one of the most comprehensive employee experience surveys in Finland. The survey measures organizational commitment, engagement, leadership and performance using the PeoplePower® framework. The results provide an overview of the current state of the workplace and how the organization’s strategy and practices support employees’ everyday lives.

“We are committed to staff wellbeing and have worked hard to achieve this. Dedicated staff wants to work towards common goals, and that is what is reflected in these results,” Lakka continues.
“Only a few universities of applied sciences have made it to the Most Inspiring Workplaces list over the years, and it is great that Turku University of Applied Sciences is now also part of this community. Competent staff and a good working atmosphere also have a significant impact on how we can help the working life in our region.
