The Academy of Arts Night invites the whole family to experience art on November 5! This free event will fill our Linnankatu Arts Campus with music, art, and collaborative activities.

During the evening, you’ll have the chance to explore art installations created by students at the Arts Academy and try being creative yourself. In the Sensory Room, you can paint, do crafts, draw in the sand, and express yourself through the art of words.

The art workshop of the Turun kuvataidekoulu welcomes all children and the young at heart to the Köysiteatteri lobby from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Live music will be provided by, among others, the Laurentius et pueri renascentiæ duo, which challenges conventional concert practices and performs rarely heard works by forgotten composers of bygone eras.

A trio of clowns (Julia Ketola, Essi Vuori, and Minerva Kallioniemi) will be roaming the area throughout the event. The Art Trail (Sini-Maria Kangas, Iiris Ollanketo, and other students) marked with banners follows along the riverbank from the Turku Main Library to the art campus. Guides will be on hand to assist visitors in the event area.

In addition to students from the Academy of Fine Arts, the event is being organized by the Turku Conservatory and the Competence Center for Culture and Well-being.
