A warm welcome to the S4M seminar on shipbuilding, sustainability and materials management. The seminar will take place in Auditorio Ruuma, Forum Marinum on Tuesday 25 November from 9.00 to 14.30.

Come and learn about the future of sustainable shipbuilding and materials management and hear the views of leading experts and company representatives. Presentations at the seminar will focus on tightening environmental regulations and their economic impact on the transport sector, the sustainability transition in shipyards, the promotion of sustainable materials management in the shipbuilding industry and practical emission reduction measures in maritime transport. Speakers include Ulla Tapaninen, Tomi Solakivi, Saija Bezuidenhout, Miikka Härö, Niina Järvinen and Nani Pajunen.

In addition, experts from Turku University of Applied Sciences will tell us what has already been done in the S4M Sustainable Material Management Maturity Model research project and what plans are in place for the future. The event will be bilingual: presentations will be given in both Finnish and English, according to the language indicated in the programme.
