– Brazil’s growing higher education sector brings significant new opportunities for Finnish partners in building research, development and innovation cooperation. Many Finnish higher education institutions have been working well with Brazilian organisations for years and now we are trying to take this to a new level,” says Vesa Taatila, Rector and President of Turku University of Applied Sciences.

On the opening day, Vesa Taatila, Rector and President of Turku University of Applied Sciences, and Jukka Kola, Rector of the University of Turku, gave keynote speeches on the Finnish innovation system and research.

The Brazilian guests were presented, among other things, the opportunities for bilateral cooperation offered by Finland’s education and research and innovation system. Similarly, Brazilian experts spoke about the needs and strategic objectives of a rapidly growing country.
