The aim of the project is to strengthen the capabilities of micro and small enterpreneurs in the service sector in utilizing digital platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) in business. The goal is to enhance entrepreneurs’ adaptability at both individual and organizational levels. The project identifies mental models that hinder the adoption of AI and seeks to lower the threshold for participation, especially in personal and professional contexts.

The project aims to strengthen the skills of micro and small business entrepreneurs and people working in the service and business sectors in the use of digital platforms and artificial intelligence in business. Micro-enterprises make up a significant part of Finland’s business life, but they often have limited resources for training and adopting new technologies. Many small business owners feel that artificial intelligence is a foreign technology that belongs to large companies. Awareness of its benefits is fragmented, and a lack of knowledge and time prevents progress. The potential of artificial intelligence in areas such as marketing, customer service, and content production is not yet visible in everyday life.

Through this project, we offer the target group:

• Practical, easy-to-understand training on digital tools and the potential of artificial intelligence to strengthen their own skills
• Training content that is designed to be flexible in terms of time and to support the everyday lives of participants.
• Examples and concrete tools that participants can use to immediately apply what they have learned to their own work
• Networking opportunities with other entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and experts to share skills.
• Support and guidance for changing mindsets: artificial intelligence is not just a tool for large companies, but also the best everyday helper for micro and sole entrepreneurs.

As a result of the project, participants’ work productivity will increase, while at the same time building bridges towards a more permanent culture of skills development and active cooperation between different actors.

The project responds to the need in Southwest Finland to develop the digital skills of micro and small entrepreneurs and supports the goal of making Finland a leading country in artificial intelligence by 2030. The project offers practical, easy-to-understand training, concrete tools, and networking opportunities. The goal is to strengthen the belief that new technology can be adopted in small steps, at one’s own pace, and in a way that suits one’s own work.
