Invisible monitoring in development of well-being and performance is a collaborative research project that studies how emerging technologies and data collected from various sources can be utilized in the monitoring and development of wellbeing and performance. Originating from sports coaching, the concept is now being expanded to broader data management practices, services, and business models. The project empowers SMEs to develop innovative solutions for the growing global markets in wellbeing and performance technologies.
Invisible Monitoring for Enhancing Wellbeing and Performance is a collaborative research project focused on leveraging emerging technologies and refining data collected from various sources to support the monitoring and development of wellbeing and performance. The concept of invisible monitoring is relatively new and has gained attention particularly in the field of sports coaching. It refers to the collection of performance data during regular training sessions without separate tests or measurements.
The project develops and tests invisible monitoring methods that enable continuous tracking of wellbeing and performance without disrupting daily life or activities. It expands the concept of invisible monitoring beyond sports coaching into broader data management practices, services, and business models. The project supports a transition toward more efficient, data-driven decision-making in areas such as work life, sports, and healthcare.
This project is part of a broader effort to promote wellbeing and performance across society. Its results can be applied to improving workplace wellbeing, optimizing athletic performance, developing health services, and enhancing operations in defense, safety, and rescue sectors.
The project is carried out in collaboration with research institutions, companies, and public sector actors, enabling the use of diverse expertise and resources and ensuring effective transfer of research results into practice.
Project objectives:
