The number of international students is growing, but for many of them it is difficult to find internships and jobs. On the other hand, regional towns need highly qualified professionals, and international students can respond to the needs of companies.
In the project, we:
- strengthen the cooperation between Universities of Applied Sciences, regional towns, and companies
- support international students in internships, employment, and settling in regional towns
- increase companies’ readiness to host international students in internships and work
- emphasize regional towns’ attractiveness for internationals.
The project will increase the common knowledge of cooperation opportunities between higher education institutions, regional cities and companies. On the basis of increased knowledge, the guidance of international students is developed, as well as the readiness of companies to host international students. The project organises networking events and company visits, and produces a guide for international students’ internships for companies in regional towns.rganise networking events and company visits, and produce a guide to international student placements for working communities in regional cities.
