LEARNS is a collaborative development project of three Nordic universities. We promote the co-creation and integration of social innovations as part of higher education studies. During the project, we exchange information and support peer learning between the participating higher education institutions and produce learning materials to strengthen social innovation capacities.
Project LEARNS is rooted in prior cooperation of the partner universities and focused on advancing social innovation competencies that are critical for sustaining and developing the Nordic welfare systems.
Project objectives
The overall goal is to enhance the quality and consistency of co-creation of social innovation education across Nordic universities. In more detail, our objectives:
- to identify best pedagogical practices in co-creation of social innovation education,
- to develop related educational approaches and interventions, and
- to foster continuous knowledge exchange and peer-learning among Nordic educators.
By fostering multidisciplinary and transnational cooperation, we aim to produce sustainable, impactful outcomes that benefit Nordic labour markets and societies at large by enhancing graduates’ employability and abilities to contribute to the ongoing transformation of the Nordic welfare states.
