Model-based Optimisation of Outdoor Sports Facilities Heating (ULMO)

Duration of the project
Source of funding
OKM
Total funding
89 744 €
The ULMO project develops a model-based optimization solution to improve the energy efficiency of outdoor sports facilities, particularly outdoor football fields.
The objective is to implement and validate a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) solution that utilizes simulation models and optimization methods to reduce energy consumption.
The activities include evaluating simulation models and integrating them into heating optimization, as well as testing the models in real-world environments.
The target groups include municipalities, field operators, and stakeholders in the energy and real estate sectors. As a result, the project will produce an energy-efficient, model-based optimization concept that can be used to control and further develop the heating of outdoor football fields.
