The aim of the project is to support the early stages of careers in the social and health care sector, as well as the later stages for those who have worked in the field for a longer time. The project promotes coping at work both during the early years of employment and throughout a longer career. Improving occupational well-being and supporting work ability enhances the well-being of the entire work community. A long career for future professionals requires proactive investment in personal well-being and work ability. Supervisors and employees need to be aware of the possibilities of job crafting and other supportive methods.
The goal is to develop an operational model that provides workplaces with practical tools and educational materials for the following areas of occupational well-being, which help strengthen proactive competence:

Managing workload and psychosocial skills
The work community learns to identify and address stress factors. At the same time, interaction, community spirit, and the ability of the work community to support individual well-being and the strengthening of professional competence are enhanced. Autumn 2025.

Promoting work ability
Workplaces are provided with means to support employees’ functional capacity and prevent the decline of work ability. Spring 2026.

Work design and leadership
Workplace structures are developed to support recovery and occupational well-being as part of everyday leadership practices. Autumn 2026.

Orientation at different career stages
Continuous support models are created to assist employees both at the beginning of their careers and during transition phases. Spring 2027.
