Exercise and food test platform services

Consumers consider well-being to be the top priority in their daily lives. They are interested in fitness, nutrition and wellbeing solutions. Therefore, the market value of various products contributing to well-being and health is expected to grow.

Before there is a suitable, convenient and easy-to-use product or service on the market, companies developing sports and food products face a multi-stage process of product development. A test platform that supports product development can be of great help.

Test platform services combining exercise and healthy eating are not available in Finland. In the project “Test Platform Services for Exercise and Food” (LIRU), the Paavo Nurmi Centre and the Nutrition and Food Research Centre of the University of Turku, the Turku University of Applied Sciences’ Exercise Laboratory and INSIGHT Lab integrated a test platform to support companies in developing their exercise and food-related products and services.
