Happiness we build together
This guide is part of the SWEPPP (Sustainable Well-being – Education for Personal, Professional and Planetary Well-being) project. The guide explores sustainable well-being through the perspective of happiness and provides a reflective framework for considering well-being in everyday life.
Instead of approaching well-being as an individual performance or continuous self-optimisation task, the guide highlights the role of relationships, everyday practices and societal structures in shaping experiences of happiness. The content draws on international well-being indicators and invites reflection on factors that support a meaningful and sustainable life.
The guide is intended for a broad audience and combines concise texts, illustrative examples and reflective questions. It supports personal reflection and encourages attention to what is meaningful in daily life, as well as to the connections between individual experiences, work, communities and planetary contexts.
The publication can be used as a learning resource for students, educators and professionals, as well as for anyone interested in sustainable well-being from a personal, professional and planetary perspective.
