Life Cycle Writing methods for social work and learning

Life cycle writing (EKK) is a method developed by educator, author and psychotherapist Pepi Reinikainen (2007). Life cycle writing is a biography in which writing is used as a tool for explaining one’s own background, experiences, life events, both positive and less positive. The result is, depending on the writer’s own enthusiasm, need and skill, basic material for a possible biography that still needs to be worked on and honed to prove itself.

Life cycle writing is well suited for learning and work in the social field, where you work with customers at different stages and situations of the life cycle. As a method of social work, the purpose is to help customers think about their own lives. This guide includes useful knowledge base in teaching and work in the field, as well as applicable methods from babies to the elderly. The guide also describes the life cycle interview method and its use in social studies.
