Networks for a career – studies for highly educated
In the study programme, you’ll develop your skills and network with the Finnish world of work through career guidance and work placements. The goal is to promote your employment in a job that matches your skills and field.

In the Networks for a career -study programme, you’ll develop your skills without having to take a new degree. The study programme supports you in networking with the Finnish world of work through career guidance and work placements included in the programme. During the study programme, you’ll receive both group and individual guidance on matters related to your studies and working life.
Part of the teaching is organised as on-site teaching at the Kupittaa campus of Turku University of Applied Sciences. The study programme also includes practical training. Depending on your personal study plan, the programme may also include online studies.
The study programme also provides a path to degree studies: if you complete 35 ECTS credits of studies included in a specific degree programme during the training, you can apply as a degree student in the separate application through Open UAS based on these studies. Studies completed in this study programme and other higher education studies completed elsewhere may be recognized as a part of the Finnish degree if they in accordance with the curriculum.

The study programme is suitable for highly educated people who want to expand their skills and their network in the Finnish world of work and improve their own employment.
University graduates in Finland
You can be selected if you have completed a university degree or at least 150 ECTS credits (approx. 2.5 years) of degree studies at a Finnish higher education institution.
The study group is multicultural, and the learning objectives include the adoption of language and cultural awareness as a part of the study and work skills. The studies can be pursued flexibly in Finnish and/or English.
University graduates in another countries
You can be selected if you have completed a foreign university degree or at least 150 ECTS credits (approx. 2.5 years) of degree studies at a foreign higher education institution.
The studies can be pursued flexibly in Finnish and/or English. Regardless of the language of instruction, the programme supports the learning of Finnish, which is crucial for integration and employment in Finland.
The training is intended for people already living in Finland. The study programme is not a basis for a residence permit in Finland.
Study contents
The study programme is built according to the student’s individual study plan and consists of the following studies:
- Future working life skills 5 ECTS credits
- Career planning skills 5 ECTS credits
- Practical training 10-15 ECTS credits
- Optional studies 5-10 ECTS credits
The optional studies may include, for example, a course on Future Careers – Values, Networks and Competences (5 ECTS credits) or Finnish language and communication studies (5-10 ECTS credits).
How to apply for training

Fill in the application form at Studyinfo.fi between 1.4. – 29.4.2026.
The deadline for applications is 29.4.2026 at 15.00.
Attach a photo or a scanned file of one of the following documents to the application form translated into English or Finnish by an authorized translator:
- a diploma from a higher education institution, or
- transcript of records from higher education institution

You will receive an invitation to an interview.
All eligible students will be invited to an interview, which will take place as a group discussion at the Kupittaa campus of Turku UAS. During the interview, each applicant’s personal goals, motivation and commitment to study will be assessed. In addition, the applicant’s language skills in Finnish or English will be verified. The exact time of the interview for each applicant and the instructions for arrival will be sent to the applicants by e-mail after the application period has ended.

Accept the study place and register as an attending student according to the instructions. Studies will start in autumn 2026, and you will receive detailed instructions on how to start your studies by email before the start of your studies.
