Magdalena Molendowska
Graduated from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where she won the GSMD Gold Medal. She graduated with honors from the Stanisław Moniuszko Music Academy in Gdańsk. In 2011, she made her debut on the stage of the National Opera in Warsaw in Jakob Lenz by W. Rihm. She returned in the artistic season 2012/2013 as Halka in the opera by S. Moniuszko, for which she was nominated for the Paszport Polityki award.
In the course of her operatic career she sang many leading roles in Poland or Europe, m. in. in Glyndebourne, Opera North, Baden- Baden, Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław and Bialystok. In addition to opera parts, the artist has in her repertoire numerous songs, oratorio works and cantatas. She made many recordings, including: the cycle Huit Chansons Polonaises with M. Martineau, a record with the songs of Sigmund Stojowski and a dozen songs of S. Moniuszko with Julia Samojlo, with Anna Mikolon she recorded the songs of A. Kątsky. In 2024 the album with recordings of W. Żelensky songs was awarded the prestigious Fryderyk prize.
Magdalena Moledowska was a recipient of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Scholarschip as well as Rotary Club, the Worshipful Company of Merchant Taylors or the Margery and Frederick Stephen Wright Eisinger Bursary. For her activities, she was awarded with the bronze medal “Zasłużony Kulturze Gloria Artis”. The artist’s upcoming plans include m. in. performance of the musical Ania of the Green Gables; at the Gorzów Philharmonic Hall.
Anna Mikolon
Pianist, scholar of the Fryderyk Chopin Society. Graduated from the Music Academy in Gdańsk, and F. Chopin’s Music University in Warsaw. In 2023, she received the title of Belvedere professor. Pianist during multiple master-classes, and often awarded as an accompanist during competitions.
Author of three monographs, numerous publications (60) and recordings (40). Leads a diverse concert activity – chamber and solo – in Poland and abroad (France, Austria, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Belarus and Russia), and performs in artistic, scientific sessions and music festivals. Nor does she refrain from first performances of contemporary music – Olivier Greif, Bruno Vlahec, Marcin Łukaszewski – or forgotten music.
She has been a pianist-tutor of soloists at the Baltic Opera. She has also accompanied during auditions for: ZBF Agentur Leipzig 2003, European Opera Centre Liverpool 2007 and Belvedere Competition 2014, 2015 and 2016. In 2017 she received the Cultural Scholarship of the City Gdańsk. In 2021, she received the honorary badge of Merit for Polish Culture.
