Press Release

The event will showcase the expertise of students and experts in the field of social and health care and provide parents with concrete tips on, for example, good daily routines and parenting. For children, there will be a fun and varied programme.

– We want to make well-being accessible. That’s why the activity points are practical, inclusive and aimed at children and their families,” says Taina Nordgren from Turku University of Applied Sciences, who is responsible for coordinating the event.

From teddy bear advice to motor skills

The free Good Everyday event will feature several activity points where families can learn about well-being through concrete activities and play.

For example, children can marvel at the fascinating human anatomy, measure pushing and squeezing strength and look after their own teddy bear. The programme includes demonstrations of sampling equipment, basic motor skills exercises and testing of memory and colour vision.

Other highlights for the little ones in the family include face painting, a photo wall and a visit to the Halinalle mask.

Briefings on everyday well-being

Parents will receive topical health tips from experts.

The afternoon will include a series of insightful presentations and interviews on topics such as:

  • good daily routines
  • well-being from nature
  • good parenting
  • children’s mobility

The event will be accompanied by a children’s park, organised by the students of the Sun Good Life Clinic of Turku University of Applied Sciences.
