AI in Creative Practices
AI is reshaping creative work, for better or worse. In this workshop, we look at how AI is actually changing the day-to-day work of designers and other creative professionals: where it helps, where it doesn’t, and why some professionals are choosing not to use it at all.

The workshop is part of the Lahti Design Festival programme and the RenAIssance project. RenAIssance is an EU-funded initiative that explores the AI-related skills needs of the creative industries across eight European countries.
We will begin the workshop by presenting the project’s findings, followed by interactive activities and a facilitated group discussion. Open to any creative professional with a view on AI, whether that’s daily use, active refusal, or something in between.
Schedule:
- 12.30 – Open doors and coffee
- 13.00 – Findings from RenAIssance project
- 13.30–14.30 – Facilitated group discussions
- 14.30 – Summary and take-aways
- 15.00 – Final words and next steps
The findings presentation will be in English; discussions will be held in both English and Finnish.
