Future Built Environment FBE
We carry out applied research and development projects and commissions in the construction sector in cooperation with public authorities, companies, organisations, universities and research institutes. Our activities cover the different stages of the building and infrastructure construction life cycle, from planning to operation.

Our focus areas are:
1
Developing the knowledge of construction contractors
– key decisions guiding the success of a construction project are taken at the early stages of the project
2
Promoting sustainable construction
– a major driver of construction in the future with the green transition
3
Digitalisation of construction
– a tool to improve efficiency in the construction sector

Our team takes an open-minded approach to construction challenges and seeks to identify new ideas for projects that contribute to the development of the construction sector and the vitality of the region. Our partners include companies and organisations in the construction sector in Southwest Finland. Would you like to collaborate?
