Better data = better INSIGHT
Better data leads to better decision-making, research, and AI solutions. INSIGHT Lab serves companies, organizations, and research networks at UAS’s ICT City campus.
INSIGHT Lab is a networked research and development environment where experts from the INSIGHT and KM4HP research groups work together with students of health technology, data engineering, and AI technology.
We solve challenges related to human activity and develop practical, effective solutions that promote desired change. We focus particularly on knowledge-based management and medical technology that utilizes artificial intelligence and data analytics. We also offer expertise in healthcare regulation and the processing of sensitive data.

RDI collaboration with INSIGHT Lab
INSIGHT Lab is constantly involved in several externally funded RDI projects. The projects may be based on local, regional, national, or international cooperation and are funded by, among others, the European Regional Development Fund, Business Finland, the Academy of Finland, the Horizon Europe framework program, and other public RDI funding sources. The projects often involve other universities, research institutes, companies, and other organizations.
RDI business refers to direct cooperation between companies and RDI organizations related to the development of products, services, or other areas. RDI business projects can range from small and quick studies to extensive and continuous processes. A good example of RDI business cooperation at INSIGHT Lab is the maintenance and development of the MyE.Way knowledge management system in collaboration with Eerikkilä Sport & Outdoor Resort.
Students are offered part-time internships throughout the year alongside their studies. During the internship, students have the opportunity to participate in research groups and lab projects and development projects.

The INSIGHT Lab is backed by the INSIGHT and KM4HP research groups of Turku University of Applied Sciences, which employ professionals in health technology, data analytics and software development. Turku UAS has long been involved in making Finland a top export country for health technology. We have networked extensively in Finland and internationally. We are constantly looking for new research and development partners for our projects.
