The Trade Union of Education in Finland OAJ and YTN, private sector negotiator of Akava are organizing a one-day strike at Turku University of Applied Sciences on Tuesday 28 April 2026.

The strike follows a dispute over the collective agreement for universities of applied sciences, which expired at the end of March. The parties to the collective agreement are Sivista, OAJ and YTN.
The implementation of the teachings on the strike day cannot be guaranteed. However, the aim is to implement as much teaching as possible.
Available information on cancellations will be communicated to students in our intranet at the Messi on Tuesday 28.4. as early as possible in the morning.
